Fires in Monchique - Reforesting

DEAR FRIENDS, We are a family with a 2 year old child and had moved to Monchique last year. We were starting a project on a land in Monchique, together with other neighbour families, to develop a permaculture land and space for retreat. On the Wild Monchique Fires, everything we had built, our house and the whole land was burned to ashes. We feel so much the support of all the friends, so we created this way for everyone wanting to support, to do it in which way they can.

The funds collected on this campaign will go to:

- Creating Fire Prevention Strategies for the future (Water systems and retentions, Cutting the eucalyptus, ..)
- Reforesting - Planting trees and creating a nursery for new trees
- Rebuild our house and other structures for guests and volunteers
- Buying materials to work on the land

We will also open days for volunteer work, soon.
