Kane was discharged from rehab yesterday and spent today with the Temple football team and the blood drive that was set up in his honor. He found out he had around 70 blood transfusions and wanted to help out. He completed the first of 95 units of chemo, he will go 5 days a week for 4 weeks then will have 4 weeks off. Thank you all for your thoughts, prayers and donations. He is on his way to a “normal” life.
Kane is in a rehab center and will begin his second type of chemo in 2 weeks.
Kane is doing very well at Megee rehab. He is getting stronger everyday. He is able to get out of bed and transfer to a chair with very little help. He is getting three therapies every day which makes him pretty tired by the end of the day. The therapist and doctors will meet on Wednesday and we will be able to find out how long he will be in rehab.
Kane is now in remission. He moved into Magee rehab center this evening. He will be evaluated tomorrow and we hope to find out more of what is in store in the next few weeks. Thank you for all the well wishes and prayers. He is ready for the next chapter in the leukemia novel. Thank you all who have prayed for us and sent such generous donations.
